As an organization committed to improving the lives of African-American students in the St. Louis area, we at Brownpreneurs are both saddened and outraged by the tragic death of George Floyd and the racial injustices that continue to plague our country. Brownpreneurs stands alongside peaceful supporters as they protest racial injustice. Recent events have proven that although our country has come a long way in the last hundred years, we still have a long way to go towards racial equality.
Brownpreneurs, in our work to develop the next generation of brown entrepreneurs, is committed to improving the lives of African-Americans from both a social and economic perspective. We believe entrepreneurship is the path forward and our children are the way. Empowering young adults to start businesses, generate wealth and occupy leadership roles previously forbidden to them is the only way to truly foster a more inclusive world and eradicate systemic racism. When we change the outlook for our youth, we can change the future – for generations to come!
